I am passionate about two things - reading and tech, so being a librarian is the perfect job for me!

I have over 25 years experience of helping children and young people find something great to read, introducing them to other worlds and other lives.

I also provide them with the skills to find, use and create effectively and ethically online.

This is the 3rd edition of my website, which first launched way back in the year 2000.

My 2 year vlog charting the gradual transformation of a room full of dusty old books into a 21st century library.

The KHS Library website that I created makes the most of library services, including database subscriptions and help with citations, providing the school community with a variety of reliable quality information resources and promoting reading for pleasure.

Batgirl is my 'sidekick' who enables me to promote reading via social networking.

She recommends books and shares library news on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

She also travels and attends library conferences.

I use Prezi both as a teaching tool and for conference presentations, including ECIS, Internet Librarian International, JCS Digital Literacy and the School Library Association.
